Lovable pricing: what every plan costs, and what the bill depends on
Lovable publishes four plans. Free is $0, Pro starts at $25 a month for 100 credits, Business starts at $50 a month for 100 credits, and Enterprise is volume-based rather than listed. Those dollar figures were read from docs.lovable.dev/introduction/subscription-plans on 2026-09-08. The public page at lovable.dev/pricing was fetched the same day, and it names the same four plans and the credit grants without printing those dollar amounts.
The sticker price is not the whole bill. Lovable's own pricing page says credits pay for building, hosting, and AI features from one workspace balance. Paid plans add monthly credits, plus daily build credits that expire at the end of each day. A credit is also not a fixed dollar. Lovable says the value of a credit depends on the plan and the feature, and credits are not necessarily equal across plans.
That structure is what a chat-to-app builder charges once the prompt is the unit of work. Empyre prices a different unit and appears further down for that contrast, not as a substitute for a builder.

Why the monthly price is a floor, not a ceiling
A builder used to be a flat fee for a box of features. Lovable prices the work instead. Each paid plan includes a monthly credit grant, and past that grant you keep going by spending the balance or buying a top-up.
Build mode charges by complexity. Lovable's pricing page, fetched 2026-09-08, gives four examples. Changing a button style is 0.50 credits. Removing a footer is 0.90. Adding authentication is 1.20. A landing page with images is 1.70. Plan mode is a flat 1 credit per message.
Hosting can also spend the balance. Lovable says smaller or new apps are usually covered by the included Cloud grant. Apps that reach significant traffic or size start drawing from the credit balance.
Top-ups are a separate line. Lovable's credits-and-usage documentation, read the same day, prices a Pro top-up at $15 per 50 credits, which is $0.30 per credit. Business top-ups are $30 per 50 credits, which is $0.60 per credit.
Daily build credits expire at midnight UTC and do not roll over. Unused monthly plan credits expire two months after they are issued. Credits are not refundable.
Three questions that decide the plan, in order
Each one is answerable before spending anything, and each one moves you between the tiers above:
How much of the work is chatting versus running the app?
Daily build credits cover chatting. Cloud and AI grants cover a small amount of hosting and in-app AI. Anything past those grants comes out of the monthly balance, then a top-up.
Do you need Business controls?
SSO, role-based access, a security center, and priority support are Business features in Lovable's plan table. They do not change the cost of running the app. Lovable says run and AI cost is the same on Pro and Business. The subscription is higher because the credits themselves are priced higher.
Is the bill shared?
Lovable does not charge per seat. Unlimited members share one credit pool. Inviting more people does not raise the subscription. It raises how fast the pool empties.
What a builder subscription does not include
A Lovable subscription buys help writing and hosting an app. It does not buy the person who writes the next week's posts, answers customer mail, or notices in week six that nothing has shipped. Those were never Lovable's job, and it does not claim them.
For a founder who intends to be the developer, that is the right scope. A $25 Pro tier that removes hours of typing is cheap for that job. The gap only matters if the missing piece is a business that keeps operating after the first deploy.
Two different things being priced
| Lovable | Empyre | |
|---|---|---|
| Unit being sold | Credits in a workspace | A company being built and operated |
| Who does the work | You, prompt by prompt | Eight agents, each on its own schedule |
| Free tier | 5 daily build credits, capped at 30 a month | A build and a deploy, no card |
| Entry paid price | $25 / mo | $49 / mo |
| What the paid tier buys | A monthly credit grant, plus daily build credits | A monthly AI spend budget the CFO agent gates before work runs |
| Past the allowance | Spend the balance, or buy a top-up | Work stops until the cycle turns over, or credits are topped up |
Where Empyre's version of this costs more, and where it stops
Empyre's paid plans are $49, $149 and $299 a month, and half of each is the AI spend budget the agents work inside: $25, $75 and $150 respectively. Building and deploying a first company is free and takes no card.
The honest limit belongs in the same paragraph as the price. Empyre has 44 signups, 4 companies created and 1 company live, measured on 2026-09-04. Three of the four paying customers have never reached a working product, and 34 of the 44 accounts never finished onboarding.
The comparison is therefore not that one number is smaller. A $25 builder plan reliably does what it says. A $49 plan that operates a business is a larger claim, held by a platform with one live generated company to point at. That difference in certainty is part of the price.
Common questions
How much is Lovable per month?
Free is $0. Pro starts at $25 a month for 100 credits. Business starts at $50 a month for 100 credits. Enterprise is volume-based and quoted on request. Dollar figures from docs.lovable.dev/introduction/subscription-plans on 2026-09-08. Check that page before budgeting, because prices move.
Is there a free version of Lovable?
Yes. Starting to build is free. The free plan includes a daily grant of 5 build credits, capped at 30 a month. It also includes 20 Cloud credits and 4 AI credits a month, per Lovable's pricing page.
Does Lovable charge extra beyond the plan price?
It can. Credits pay for building, hosting, and in-app AI from one balance. Past the included grants, usage draws from that balance. Pro top-ups are $15 per 50 credits. Business top-ups are $30 per 50 credits. Read from Lovable's credits-and-usage documentation on 2026-09-08.
Does Lovable charge per seat?
No. Lovable's pricing page says workspaces support unlimited members on all plans, and plans are priced by the credits they include, not by seats. Inviting more people does not change the subscription cost. It changes how quickly the shared credits are used.
Is Lovable worth it compared to an AI business platform?
They are not substitutes. Lovable makes a founder faster at writing and hosting an app. A platform like Empyre exists for the case where the missing pieces are deployment, sign-in, payments, and everything after launch.
